i assume its the same reason as watchers eye...because when you ID it, it could be worth next to nothing. a lot of these jewels are worthless. UNID it could be good or bad so if someone wants to gamble they can buy them

Does the 3 to 1 vendor recipe give them back unidentified? I can't recall if this is the case or if it even works for Timeless jewels.
