[Poe 2] Clarification needed for "weapon set" skill points - SOLVED

in the reveal, we get those points from killing side bosses and in the middle of the stream Jonathan said that whoever didn't want to specialize in different weapon sets could use the extra points in a single set, like extra passives

now, yesterday ziz put a video where he showcases witchhunter ascendancy and we all know about "weapon master" node which gives 20 weapon points.
before that, another streamer (can't remember from all the content, sorry) affirming that those weapon points instead USE your already acquired skills gained from leveling to make further specialization for different weapon sets

what is the truth? CHOOSE

1)does weapon master gives extra 20 points, as a level 100 witchhunter will be effectively level 120 with a single weapon

OR

2)does weapon master only makes your 100 possible points more malleable?

OR

3)only "weapon set" passives acquired from bosses/quests can be used as extra points?

edit: the mystery has been solved, they changed the wording of the node, thus the answer is number 2 -> 20 of the normal passives will become weapon set passives

You expect anything on the tree to grant +20 passive points without a major downside? It sounds like it converts 20 permanent points into points that you can switch when weapon swapping. Keep in mind that you essentially have 2 weapons that automatically swap on skill use. That gives you 20 additional points that can automatically swap as well for the mere cost of 1 point speccing into the node. That's plenty powerful.

If you have a weapon set that is exclusive to casting curses, that would give you an additional 20 points to spend in buffing curses without sacrificing points buffing attacks/spells.

i agree that it is too good to be true
but it conflicts with what jonathan said in the reveal "for those who will not use another weapon to swap..."

though since merc is the class that most benefits from swap, you may wonder if someone can build around without it
I recall Johnathon talking about this, but I don't remember exactly what he said. At the time I thought it was the points that change on weapon swap can still be used even if you don't want the second weapon. There is a chance it gives 20 additional points but disables the second weapon.

This sounds confusing indeed. He said this because weapon set passive points you get for quests completing also provide regular passive points. All passive points you obtain from quests come from weapon set passive points.

Weapon Master wording has already been changed.
Now it's "20 Passive Skill Points become Weapon Set Skill Points".

ohhh then it is answer number 2 which is the most logical one
thanks
