Finding scarabs with Unwavering Vision allocated

The atlas node in question: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Unwavering_Vision. For some reason, I still occasionally find scarabs in my maps. Not complaining, of course. Just wondering why. There must be some loophole or maybe a bug. I do feel like I'm getting a lot less scarabs than without the node, though.
Does anyone have a similar experience or know what's going on here? Thanks.

Are you getting them in Kirac missions?

I think this atlas node only applies to raw scarabs. If you have an altar active that gives a chance to find certain scarabs I think this node is ignored in that case.

Haven't been doing Kirac much. I know for sure they've been appearing in non-Kirac.

What is an altar? Is it that totem thing when chasing Searing Exarch or Eater of Worlds? If so, I don't think that's it. I know for sure scarabs have dropped in unique maps, and you can't call them on uniques.

Incubator maybe?

But it's not just unique maps. Today I had 2 non-unique maps in a row that dropped scarabs (while that node was allocated). Not incubators either. Also, there was no league content I was doing when they dropped.

Other people have encountered this. What ever it is, I assume for some reason those drops are not having the atlas passive applied to them.

I think the things that have been suggested are possibilities. I think what is being suggested is it might be alters in the rare maps and then in unique/kirac maps it is just that the atlas is not applied there. I think i've had certain scarab types dropping of alters when they were blocked. There might be others things that cause this as well.

Normally I think you would be dropping many scarabs per map. It sounds like your scarabs are blocked, but occasional one drops for some reason that is not blocked by the atlas keystone. Maybe because there are drops in the map that so not obey the atlas passives.

It does seem strange, but its not necessarily a bug. Might be more like you are saying that there is a loophole, allowing them to drop overriding or without the atlas conditions applying. That's why I suggested incubator. I don't think that they would obey the atlas passives. There might be other things.
