Hard Crash during loading screen

So far I had 3 hard crashes during loading screens which froze the game after 10 or so seconds of loading and I had to manually reset my PC.
2 of them were duinrg endgame maps, 1 was TP between act 10 and my hideout.
All 3 of them occuried on Necrosettlers League.

I just lost a whole set of high level mappers due to freezing while zoning into the fight to save them. I am done now with this game until I hear there is some fix not worth playing anymore. This is an issue that has been going on for over a month and it is being completely ignored by GGG. Many threads have been made on this issue pointing to a recent windows update. I am quickly losing any faith I have had.

Same for me. Game just freezes whole system on random loading screen. Only manual pc restart helps :/

Can you check if you're on windows version 24H2? You can check on windows settings, system, about. Should be under Windows specifications. Yeah I'm on windows 11 with that patch 24H2 and experience the same thing. Performance also went down. Not sure what to do.

Nothing you can do for now. Workaround so you don't have to reboot your entire PC:

- Launch PoE
- Open Task Manager and disable 2 CPU cores for the PoE process
- Login to PoE, pick a character and get to grinding.

Voila, now when the game crashes you can just kill the process and start the game again without rebooting your entire pc.

Edit: For what it's worth. If I manage to load into the initial town and then into my hideout without crashing, the game remains crash free until I restart it myself.

You are the first person I've seen anywhere having this issue on anything but Windows 11 24h2.

Is it really exactly the same behaviour - your PC hard locks and requires a power down using the power button?

Same problem here! I thought the problem came from my new screen (49"). I can play POE on this screen for a few days, but since today, I have a lot of problems, the game that freezes with the sound that bugs. I even completely reinstalled my windows thinking that it was corrupted.

I play on Windows 10, i have AMD graphic card
