Exception Error - Character will not load - Portal from Marveil's Lair

I was portaling back to Lioneye's watch to sell some gear when a pop up came on my screen stating "Exception - Unrecognized task serialised by server; missing registration?".

I started my playthrough last evening after taking a hiatus for a while. I'm hoping I don't have to start all over.

It finally let me back in. Thanks if anyone did anything on the server side. If not then maybe it just needed to time out the portal?
