my ship isnt coming home...

I sent a shipment that would take 4 hours, so I went to bed. I got up, the pirates commandeered it. I killed the pirate and went on my way and forgot about it. it's been almost 2 days now. it's still sitting at 4 hours. The timer isn't moving and no rewards.

I don't want to abandon the shipment since I'm just a filthy casual and I'm not loaded, but I also don't see any other options.

Is there something I'm missing?

Do you have gold in the town reserves?

Yep, sounds like gold ran out. If you have gold in your inventory add it to the towns reserve, or else you will need to farm more gold.
