Help me to make my build more tanky

Hi All!

I just want to ask if there is a better way to make my build more tanky as I am still dying a lot on t16 8mods map and t17maps.

Any suggestion as well on what mod I should avoid while doing maps to lessen my chance on dying.

It is my first time playing PoE and I am still learning.

I was asking someone on reddit how to be less oneshot on a slayer (just saying "tanky" will lump you in with sustain sources, which are important as well, but it's one shots where the rubber meets the road) and he was saying that's not really something he ever could figure out.

I'm not a build maker, but you seem kind of glass cannon. Progenesis is about recoup, it allows you to take a hit and get partial recovery instantly, so a subsequent hit needs to be that much bigger to take you down, but your one shot number isn't higher.

need more life, for sure. also more defensive layers. you have 5 endurance charges, which would normally be 20% less elemental and physical damage, but arn's changes them to brutal, which gives more damage instead, which you already have a lot of. go back to endurance charges for starters. maybe throw aspect of the crab in there? also more chaos res, maybe a flask if need be.

i'm assuming dying sun instead of normal ruby is for damage? lose that since your max fire res is crucial, and make all your flasks gain charge on hit masochist/flagellant's to have more uptime. maybe try to get more max fire res somewhere.

the bloodnotch/immutable force thing now needs the unique valyrium ring to function (need to be getting stunned all the time to make the thing happen. you recover from stun almost instantly with immutable) since they took away the ES stun keystone in the tree, so atm those two jewel slots aren't doing much for you. maybe put some resists on the cluster jewels as well.
