Punishment Gem disabled when socketed in Profane Proxy
If I socket the Punishment gem in a rare unset ring it is usable but if I socket it in a Profane Proxy, then it is greyed out when I try to set a keybinding and the information from the UI only says [skill can't be used]. There is no other information and the ring shows it is usable instead of turning red.
If I socket another gem like Determination in the Profane Proxy, it is usable. I can't find an explanation, can anyone help? Last bumped on Sep 4, 2024, 10:24:47 PM

Because profane proxy is using the curse for your skitterbots. Determination is not used by the skitterbots so its usable.

Yep, as above, what the ring does is allow you to apply a curse with summon skitterbots aura. So if you put a non curse skill gem in the ring it will work as normal, but a curse gem will get applied by the skitterbots. So you need skitterbots active on another gem slot if you wish to do that. If for some reason you want to use the ring but still use self cast punishment, the punishment will need to be socketed on a gem that is not on the ring. If you just want +3 to the level of your curse, you can get a rare unset ring that has +3 to level of socketed gems, and will probably have more useful other properties, without needing or interfering with for skitterbots.
