Cannot ransom my ship

So I tried to do the rescue and due to recent pc issued I crashed upon entering the instance, kinda sucks but oh well. The issue now is that if I have 50k gold on my character the ransom button is just greyed out. Says nothing upon hovering over it. and if I have the money in my treasury when I hover over the greyed out ransom it says to pay 50,000 gold.

Been stuck like this for a couple days, would really appreciate it if I could find out if I am the problem or if its just a bug.

I could abandon but all the people on that ship are my highest level shipment runners

Not certain but I think you loose this option if rescue is failed unfortunately.

As Belegur said, once u attempted the rescue and left the fight without defeating the captain, being it due to dieing, DC or using the portal out, ur only option is to abandon ur ship.
