Q about Mageblood for Standard - is res important
I have been away from the game for some years, and I had this old fantasy about having a Mageblood, so now I just want to get one on Standard with my old currency.
Question: Can I easily max out res with Mageblood + flasks, or is it worth it to get one of the 100+ total res belts? I am trying to revive my old Blade Vortex build, but would like a belt I can use one more builds. How powerful are the below options? Discipline/Malevolence/Grace has 17% increased Aura Effect 9% increased Movement Speed during any Flask Effect 30% increased Rarity of Items found 38% increased Critical Strike Chance during any Flask Effect 6% increased maximum Life Thank you, trying to find my way back into the game. Mageblood can easily get more res than even the best belt. Just a single suffix on flask (20% allres) and enchant (70% effect) will give you 34% allres. If you want a belt for pure power basically nothing can beat a mageblood for most builds. It's not just for builds with an investment in flask effect, even though this will make it much stronger. None of the mods you mentioned in your post compare. Even remotely.

Thank you for your reply.
I was wondering if I should invest all my currency in a top-level Mageblood that has a total of 80 res + the flask effect and one or two of the below mods? Or is the difference between a mageblood with 40 res and one with 80 negligible? And are these mods worth it? I have been away from the game so long, I cannot tell anymore. Discipline/Malevolence/Grace has 17% increased Aura Effect 9% increased Movement Speed during any Flask Effect 30% increased Rarity of Items found 38% increased Critical Strike Chance during any Flask Effect 6% increased maximum Life |

Having the right number of mod slots and corrupted implicit or uncorrupted are probably going to be the main things. Good res and attribute rolls are nice as well, but might not be as important as the above. If you don't know exactly what your build needs, an uncorrupted one might be good, so you can just DIV it when needed instead of being locked in. Some builds might still need the res rolls to be good, others may not. I'm currently using one in settlers with bad rolls and wrong implicit, because it was what I could afford an the time. It's still amazing, so in that respect you don't need to have them. If you're buying in standard, you might end up using it for a range of builds, so it might be important to get one with better stats so that it is all purpose. You should have plenty of options there.
Movement speed is pretty much good for all builds, some of those other stats are build dependent. Strength is also good for most builds, even ones that are not melee often can use a small amount of attributes for something. Last edited by Belegur85#5784 on Aug 29, 2024, 2:01:17 PM

You might want your mageblood flasks to look something like this:
Make a variety of flasks and swap as needed. Worry less about the exact mods on the belt. "Gratitude is wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk." Rumi US Mountain Time Zone Last edited by ChanBalam#4639 on Aug 29, 2024, 4:32:24 PM

Thank you for all the replies. This is great.
I am pooling my old wealth and trying to get a solid MB for many different builds. Seems like such a fun item to play around with. I think I will go for one with high res and crit chance. |
