Can I create a GGG account and link with my steam?

My steam is occupied by my wife most of the time and I want to still play my poe, is that possible?

It is certainly possible to have your POE account removed from steam and just log in directly. Not sure if it is possible to have it linked and access without steam portal. Also not sure if it is possible to re link it if you unlink it. Probably best to contact them.

Go into your account settings and setup an email and password. That one should work with the official launcher
