in all locations usually there are barrels \ chests \ chests boxes \ containers. barrels need to be destroyed by attack or skill but chests and boxes need to be opened. I mean small chests and not those that are guarded by groups of monsters monstvos. after the update I heard that you can increase the number of items but not the chance. so I would like to know how often and what can fall out of barrels and chests in locations and how often.

There is a quote from GGG in this video that says IIQ/IIR from the maps themselves counts for the chests, but not from other sources, such as gear. This is fairly old so I don't know if that is still the case. Not sure what update you are referencing specifically, but someone should know the answer, since you are specifically talking about these chest and not strongboxes. Someone who has farmed vault of atziri or used that recent mastery that opens chest on spell cast might have a good idea. It sounds like if you juice up the map, the chests should have better drops.
