Dynamite Disappearing from Inventory

lately, dynamite keeps disappearing from my inventory (without me having used it ;-), so that I have to keep re-purchasing it ...and sometimes don't have any left when I need it :-(

I've been unable to ascertain when exactly it disappears, but after running just a few nodes it's usually gone (it disappears one at a time)

I've been playing for years and never had this happen before, so I'm wondering if the game has changed? (because I certainly have not ;-)

any idea(s) what may be going on here?

Something with hotkeys maybe? Do you have any other applications or anything running or just have it bound to a normal key? Mine is on 7.

good thought, but that's not it -I have it assigned to the "U" and have to stretch my right hand to trigger it (i.e. it's not being triggered unintentionally).
also, I've never once noticed an unintentional a dynamite explosion, so it seems that the dynamite disappears without exploding (although it is conceivable, as a lot is going on during a delving run ;-)
