Kirac Missions Disappear After Use?

Not too long ago, while doing Kirac missions, he would give say 5 or so maps that you could do, complete one, go to the next until all were done or failed. Then later you would get more missions as you went. Unless my memory is really fuzzy, I think this is how it used to be?


Now what I'm seeing is, you receive a notice that you get 5 or so missions from Kirac (not the ones you purchase but those in the map device itself). You do ONE of those missions and the rest goes away if you complete that mission. He seems to have an innate chance of giving you another set and you also have mods on your tree that allow you to get more, more often. Yet, each time, if you complete the objective on either of those maps, the rest go away.

I suspect this is now by design? I felt like it was different before?


I just want to make sure I'm not bugged as there seems to be some talk in that department.

Note: This isn't related to maps you pick up or purchase from him. That brings another point. I believe each time you get a new set of missions from Kirac (in the Atlas) you also get the maps refreshed that you can purchase (and only then). After you buy them and the chisels, they're gone until that chance modifier allows for another round of built in Kirac maps.

You may have one single mission available, but there is usually a choice of 5 or more to choose that one from. Once you have used your one single mission, then of course the rest disappear, as you now have 0 missions.

Keep mapping to get a chance of another Kirac mission, and make sure to allocate Kirac chances on your Atlas tree.

I think how it works is when you select the mission the options refresh (along with shop). You may be right that this was changed. I seem to remember it refreshing on completing the missions, not sure if I'm remembering correctly either though. That may of been Zana.

Also what xjjanie has said, above. If you are getting no missions showing, it is becuase you have run out and need to farm more for the specific map tiers.

Bel, I feel like you are 100%. This makes sense to me and looks like this is exactly what's happening. That touched on another similar subject and it answered both fairly well. That 1 mission now makes all kinds of sense.

No worries. I think it was changed, because I remember there use too be a few missions that were hard to complete. Abyss and the quest where you need to find a map that drops off a certain monster, sometimes you would clear the whole map and it hadn't dropped, then you didn't get a refresh.
