Earthshatter and Concentrated Effect

Hey, I'm using Earthshatter for the first time, since it seems to be superior to Groundslam in single target situations.

My question is, does concentrated effect help to hit single enemies multiple times or not?

I know the fissures don't go out as much, so the spikes appear more narrow, but I don't know if the aoe from the exlosions also get affected and maybe in a detrimental way.

My testing so far didn't really say anything, but I felt it was worse than Brutality. (independend of room size)

Maybe someone more familiar with the skills can help me out here :)

thanks in advance.

Increased area of effect will increase the length of the fissures and the size of the spike explosions. Therefore increased area of effect will not necessarily increase the chance of multiple spikes hitting a single target in all situations. However, when used in a small room that prevents spikes from moving outwards to their full length, increased area of effect will definitely increase the chance of multiple spikes hitting the same target.

From wiki.

Not sure exactly how that goes with decreased AOE. You would think it would help with stacking up the spikes in a small cluster, but they are not mentioning anything about decreased AOE.

The average number of hits out of 5 spikes will be 2.
Don't know how this has been calculated. I wonder if these spikes work similar to ROA hits?

Concentrated effect helps getting more hits on the target. While the aoe of the spikes decreases, they don't go out as far. They still the overall area you hit becomes smaller, but the spikes and their explosions are closer to the center of the skill.

It is definitely noticable on larger targets, Kitava being a prime example. Against small and/or highly mobile targets it's nowhere near as good though.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.
Nice one.
@Belegur: I read the wiki before, that's why I started the thread. There was nothing stated about decreasing the aoe, only increasing it in smaller rooms. :D
Thanks anyway

@FCK42: Thanks for the answer, that's what I assumed how it works. Guess I need to test it a bit more, maybe something like the pirate captain is just too small of a target and it doesn't seem to hit him as much.
