Is there any way to influence what ore spawns in a map? Or push the chance for two ore nodes?

For over a day now i'm stuck and can't fulfill port quotas, because every port needs crimson iron or orichalcum ore. I mostly find the other three ores in maps.

I'm sitting on 83k petrified amber, 53k bismuth and 31k verisium.
I would need around 140k orichalcum ore and 240k crimson iron ore.

That's around 28 maps with orichalcum and 48 with crimson iron. (my math could be off, it's incredible hot and it was a long day). Which doesn't sound so bad, but it just doesn't want to spawn.

I resorted to run blank maps without any content, just to get to the ore node(s) fast and see what's there.

Not a fun experience tbh.

The only thing i saw which influences the spawn chance is the level of the mining in town. I upgraded to max, it says "ores found in areas are more likely to be rarer varieties". But there is no way to "delevel".

I tried running act zones, but there seems to be a level cutoff. No ores are spawning there anymore. Which makes sense, becaus then people would spam the living hell out of the quarry,... again.

Don't think there is a way.

They probably stop spawning at the same level other content does, which is a 10lvl differential I believe.

Is there much benefit in going after these quotas other than a bonus to that shipment and refreshing the quota options? I've heard some people say it might level up the port which I also though it might do. That would be useful, but I haven't heard any confirmation or seen any evidence of this as of yet.
I just read the infotext in the harbour.
It says that fulfilling quotas gives additional rewards. Not sure how important it really is though.

I'm unsure if i got unlucky before, lucky now or if the most recent patch changed something. In the last 5 maps, 4 of the ores that spawned where the ones i needed.

Yeah that's pretty vague, I think it's just on that shipment. The reward doesn't seem that great to me, but if its a vey big shipment it might help. Getting a good request for a certain resource type might also help, based on the first paragraph.

They didn't change anything for the mining in the patch notes that I saw, but they did make some changes to shipping, mainly to dust being less harsh on risk level.

(Edit: Seems there is some conjecture about what has been done with the dust changes and it may be a nerf disguised as a buff depending on shipment size)
