Hey can I get some help on my build from you guys?

https://pobb.in/fFpbsjUvLIEb

So build has taken me to red maps, its a wild strike ascendant and also my league starter. Defensively the build has been working fine for me but offensively my single target damage is suffering. I know its due to my weapons being outdated at this point so can I get some guidance on what to do to get better weapons?

Cause right now I tried buying a Jewelled Foil for 40c but it actually worked as a dps loss for the build. So can I have some advice for what kind of weapons I would need for the build and what can I do to improve it further? Thank you.

Not really familiar with the build so I wont give advice in which weapon to buy or craft, but if you have the pob application, you can copy items off the trade site and paste them into to check if they are worth buying first. Looks like your build doesn't lock you into anything so it might be a claw or a sword I guess.

Qualling your gems will probably help if you can afford it.

Thank you, I can probably run a couple of labs to do just that or buy the gems when I restock on currency.

I am not following any build guide, this was purely experimental and I am going to be tackling Exarch and Eater next so I want to get my damage in the right place. But thank you, your advice has been super helpful.
Just having a closer look at your build, doesn't look like you are using a curse? You've got a fair bit of free gem slots, don't know if that is just on what i'm viewing, but can probably fit some things in there.

Ele weakness would probably be good or even ass mark.

Some other possibilities, a warcry, smite, sigil of power. They might be a bit clunky, don't know if they will work but could also help if dps is low. Leap slam might also be good for extra movement. A vaal skill if there's something good. Blood rage if you can sustain the degen.

Also wondering if precise techniques would be good. You have enough accuracy and not that much crit. Although it might interfere with any ailments you are creating. Getting more crit might be better, diamond flask, and or onslaught from somewhere. Can you get better tinctures than those? Primal spirit node might help if mana is rough.

Rage would also be good, probably the best place to get it would be savage intensity, and maybe get the life wheel there instead of the life nodes up top.

I think I could use a curse or mark, I am just worried about more buttons to press so I am hoping for a way to automate it.

Warcry might be nice but is a weird choice for a strike build instead of a slam build. I could run Vaal smite for the lightning damage aura thats a good idea. Leap slam could be good and I could use it to help with my curse issue, its just I have been so attached to dash as its saved me so many times but I guess I could give it a shot.

I do want to get better tinctures, I am just running them because blind is good for my defences as my evasion is not as high as I would like it to be and bonus elemental damage is necessary for my build. Although since I am going to be dropping my main hand, ailment application might become rough so getting a shock and chill tincture might be more beneficial.

I kinda wanna stay away from crit if I can help it, I know it will boost dps a lot but I don't want to drop my current quicksilver or block flask for it and I would need quite a few nodes to make my crits consistent. Not to mention my leech is nowhere near high enough to drop my life flask so it doesn't seem viable.

Rage? I mainly thought that would be for physical builds not elemental. I could invest in it, but dropping the life nodes up top is a no go as it contributes the most to my current life modifiers, although I can look into the Life wheel you suggest to see if it can replace it.

Rage works on all attack damage. Getting a source of rage would just be straight up more attack damage.

Marks can be automated via mark on hit support.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

For sure, less buttons is better. You definitely want a curse though. It will probably be the biggest damage increase of anything you do.

Yes they are more suited to slam builds, you wouldnt wan't to interupt your attacks, but there still might be something useful. Ancestral cry might work since you already have some extra max resist and it works with strike skills. There's quite a few that might give u a good buff though.

You could have both, it doesn't interfere with the blink cooldown, using a sword actually give you lots of options. Don't need to remove dash. Whirling blades also works with sword. A lot of people use both leap slam and frostblink to go faster. Can also be good for dodging boss mechanics. Completely optional though if you don't want the extra buttons.

Sure that sounds good, you know more about this than I do, If it's working stick with it.

Yeah this is why i'm thinking precise techniques might be good. 40% more damage is going to be more than your crit. Would prably allow you to free some other things up, like amulet slot. With loosing ailments from crits I'm not sure though.

If you can sustain rage for your attacks it will probably be pretty good as a more multiplier. It's been reworked this league, so is new option for some builds where it was hard to get before, but most melee builds will be using I think. I check on your pob, you would loose a small amount of max life, but would still be above 4k. You could probably have the wheel up top as well once you have more levels. Something to think about later maybe, don't go messing around with the tree too much if it's all working.
