Pyroclast Mine with Lifetap still costs Mana

As title says, my Pyroclast Mine is still costing mana even though Lifetap is in a linked gem slot. The tooltip says that Pyroclast Mine costs HP, but it is deducting from mana whenever I cast it.

Your character is private. Maybe you mean mana reservation?

Lifetap doesn't work for reservation.

I'm not talking about reservation. The skill is LITERALLY costing me mana to cast even with Lifetap.
[Edit] Unlocked my character, you should be able to see it now. [2nd Edit] I think I figured it out. Does Pyroclast Mine cost mana to cast and as long as it isn't detonated, it also reserves 15 mana? I mean mine skills have mana cost and mana reservation for each mine. Mana reservation is not affected by Lifetap and will reduce your current mana.

Yea, I get how they work now. I thought the mana was already reserved when I equipped the skill.
