Suggestions for progressing

Hey guys
I'm currently following the poison vortex blade build by Tbxie
(https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/poison-blade-vortex-assassin-build-guide)

Everything is the same except the amulet and a few minor differences in the rare items and I changed a green gem in the main skill.

Still, DPS is considerably lower.

I was wondering if anyone would have some suggestions on how to improve - I know I cant get the exact same results, maybe I should even get a whole different set of gear and use the guide when I reach high level 90's?
