what is up with Costs to Get back your Crew?

My Crew got Commandeered at 12%?

I am 46k deep in trying to save to get them back as I got completely owned by the guy with the Anchor I was dealing nearly no damage to hit and he was taking 90% of my life with each hit.

So rescuing them did not work.

How much does the ransom cost I had nearly nothing in the ship and honestly going into this I was like ok it cant be more than 10k
but 4 days later and 46k into farming I have even had to turn off my town as it was taking to much gold and I kept coming back to 0 gold the next morning.

I want to turn my town back on but I need to save for some unkown amount to get my sailors back.

This seems way Unfair at this point not going to lie.

If you tried to resque them but failed you can no longer ransom them, your only option is to abandon. But yes, that ui could really use some more clarity.
