Crimson ore

Is crimson ore level locked to low levels?

Does it spawn in certain areas?

I got to level 30+ and never seem to find any now. Everything I find I think is Orchialcum Ore.

I noticed level 1 character can find some.

But its weird I need to a new character to progress on upgrades.

I still keep on finding it in the maps.
Even later during the campaign
