[3.25] Can't upgrade town without ore, but I can't stop ore from being smelted.

I'm a bit stuck trying to upgrade my town, since it specifically requires, say, Bismuth or Verisium Ore. But, I can't seem to stop them from being smelted, even if I remove all workers from smelting them.
Has anyone come across this and figured out a clever workaround? Is there a way to revert some smelted bars back to ore so I can upgrade my town? Any help appreciated! Last bumped on Aug 8, 2024, 10:22:54 PM

" Smelters who finish working their assigned ore will work on other ores. Same with miners. If you want to be absolutely certain none of your Bismuth/Verisium ore will be smelted, then do not have smelters assigned to any ore. |
