Portal warning leaving Pirate fight

I just wanted to fight the Pirate that hold my full lvl 10 shipment crew.
As i walked into the Portal i accidentally clicked on it again as soon as the area loaded.
I was instantly tp back to town and the portal closed.
now i dont know if i can save my guys anymore. i have about 300k gold, but it say insufficient gold.

Why isnt there a warning like are you sure you want to leave the area, you cant reenter it? So you cant loose the only portal on accident.

Right, that sucks. Accidentally re-clicking happens occasionally. I don't know what the fix is for this. They could add some kind of delay period but it would be very annoying if you actually want to port out. Maybe as a menu option if its technically possible.

Maaybe a good solution would be that the Portal is only consumed if you did any damage to the boss or recieved any damage from the boss.

But im not sure if this is possible with the current tech.

Yeah it's not just for bossing that it happens though. Like t17 map suddenly a portal down. I think it's completely preventable by the player but pretty easy to do accidentally. Entering new zone and back tracking, same thing, don't really loose anything but a few seconds, is annoying though. I guess that's a bad one because only 1 portal which is unusual.

They've made a change to this in the patch notes, you will spawn away from the portal.
