Cannot socket Corrupted Rain of Splinter into an empty jewel socket

Hello everyone,

I bought a corrupted rain of splinters and trying to socket it into a medium jewel socket slot.

However i am not able to socket it into any jewel socket in the tree.

Is this a bug or something im not aware of? i just started to play again this league since it got many updates and QoL stuff.
