Icons on the ingame map

Hi there...
Haven't been playing long. I have a bazillion questions and I'm getting frustrated, lol. I spend half my time playing this game scouring websites to make sense of this game. But most of those questions will come in time, the one I really need answered right now is:
Is there a place that lists all the icons one finds on the player maps? You know, the various encounters.. that don't have any info displayed on the mouse hover. There's quite a few of them. I do them, have no idea what I'm doing or why. Would like to be able to look em up and see what kind of strategies there are or what I should expect, but I don't even know what to search for? If I do any kind of search on google that includes 'map' I get only references to Atlas maps. And though there are certainly plenty of unknown (to me) icons on the Atlas maps, there are also plenty on the Act maps as well..

Sheesh...

Just take it easy. Dont have to "know to the detail" all mechanics. Just enought to recognise them. In time You will learn them, dont try to take in too much, it can be overwhelming.

My suggestion is to watch some videos about the league mechanics. There are several which give a quick introduction in like 60s. Focus on the ones you like the most and keep your further research on those. Once you want to try another mechanic it’s easy to swap. Don’t try to learn all of them at the same time :)

The list is kind of confusing, a lot of stuff on there you don't need to know, but if you mouse over the icons at the top of poedb, it will show all the names of the leagues, and those icons are pretty close to how they show visually on the minimap.
