New player build guide

Hi, so as the title says, I'm a new player and this is my first ever season.
So far its been a blast and I have been progressing throughout the game steadily the past few days, however, I have hit my first major brick wall.

I have a hard time in Tier14 and upwards maps and I feel I need to look for better gear, however, despite following a build guide there isn't any middleground between the early-game build gear, and late-game.

I've tried using Path of Building but my damage has either stayed the same or barely increased.

I'd appreciate if anyone would help me out to find or get the mid tier set.
(I have around 3 Divines for that)
