How do you target farm verisium ore?

Just to preface, i'm level 94 and essentially have a full atlas complete. I understand how to build the city and how to do the shipping. I understand you have to hold click on the verisium nodes.

I think in my entire atlas progress I only encountered 4 verisium nodes, 2 of which I failed because I didn't understand the hold click mechanic and went overboard.

Now I am basically stuck at rank 7 on the town mechanic because I haven't seen verisium ore in red maps.

Is there a certain tier or layout where verisium is more common?

Not sure about that but do you have the rank 9 mining upgrade yet? That one say it offers rarer ore spawns. I haven't had much trouble finding any of them tbh, they all seem to spawn regularly enough in my experience.

Hmm. I guess its just bad rng. How fast are you clearing maps? Maybe spam lower maps faster if you really need it and that's an option. Can probably juice it up full with no risk of failing on lower map as well. Haven't heard or noticed anything about them spawning on specific maps, they all the same size so I think they wouldn't spawn differently in different locations. Not sure if higher map level makes a difference.

This fixed the issue for me. As soon as I got that upgrade I started seeing a reasonable amount of verisium. I was bottlenecked pretty hard before grabbing that upgrade.

I'm seems there's just a fair bit of rng. I've been getting a pretty even distribution. Though with 5 types, I see some posts of people saying the are having trouble finding one particular type for long stretches. If you manage to find the underground boss I think he might give some. He gives 5 stacks and I think they might be one of each, although haven't really been paying attention.

EDIT: I just encounter him again and think he actually just drops just verisium. Totaled just under 2000 on a lvl 83 guardian map. Think its a random spawn, so probably can't target farm, but it doesn't seem that rare. I have encountered him a few more times than abyssal depths and I have abyss partially spec'd on atlas.
