Why did they make Automation not work in hideout??

A good amount of people play this game with sounds turned off in the game files to significantly improve performance.

So instead of just disabling the actual automation sounds themselves in hideout, the solution is to make the entire gems tied to automation or autoexertion not work in hideout? What if someone wants to use their automation in hideout to continue gaining their buffs there?

Yes, we don't get to hear annoying sounds now when interacting via trade or visiting people's hideouts but we lost the ability to use the gem in hideout when most people play the game with sounds turned off. Odd change imo.
