Weird Trade Site Bug

I noticed something strange.
I was looking for the best jewel for me in PoB. At the time it was a Jewel with a weighted sum of 124.  Since it only had 3 affixes, it wasn't worth the 5 Exalt to me. So I wanted to save the search for a later time. I entered min 101 to weighted sum, and suddenly the best jewel had a sum of 142. And it was *drum roll*

 Not a big deal in itself and rather funny. But how often might it have happened that someone bought the supposedly best item for many divines, even though there are much better ones for much less? Why was my own jewel not displayed before I had used the minimum value? That makes no sense. This is the trade search https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Standard/2vKGJpVIk Im bad at math. Were you in-game at the time of running the first search? Or did you go online not long before the search?
The simplest explanation would be that the search is limited to "Online only", and so you weren't tracked as online for the first search but were for the second. | |

yes i was online.
It was just one minute between the searches. I clicked the link in PoB, wasnt happy with the first item and saved it. But to save the search after i changed the min weight i had to refresh it. And there i was. Im bad at math. Last edited by LoTharios on Apr 23, 2024, 3:11:35 PM

Your first search shows "10000+ matched", which means the search engine has stopped executing before finding every single result. Sorting happens after this, so the "best" results have been missed.
Ideally you should always narrow your search result so that the maximum match limit (10,000) isn't reached. ✮
