Audio output not switching

Every time i switch my audio output, going from speakers to headset or vice-versa the game won't automatically switch. Whenever i go into the options to manually switch it, there's almost never any other options available then the audio output that was used when the game launched. Only solution is to completely close the game and relaunch it. Any clue how to fix this issue?
