Transfigured gem idea - Herald of Ice of Icicles

After following Mathils build and playing Shatter Strike skill in Last Epoch I got this idea for a transfigured Herald of Ice.

You can see in the video whenever the character hits with the semi-circle (?) attack you can see those small icicles flying in various directions.

This kinda also reminds me of the old Cameria's Avarice fated weapon which procced some ice shards when you killed a frozen enemy.

So basically what the Herald of Ice of Icicles would do is instead of creating most satisfying visual and audio experiences ever it would instead proc icicles whenever you hit an enemy allowing you to use a single target ability while the icicles keep proccing and killing stuff further away from you turning it from on kill effect into a On Hit effect

Also the icicles could have a partial battlemage support built into it allowing you to scale it alongside your melee weapon stats wether its flat damage to spells or attacks.
