Nerfing Defensive Archnemesis Modifiers

How can you keep missing the entire point?

Who cares about AN defences if they can still one shot you?

Who cares about AN defences if killing them is meaningless?

If they were insanely tanky, hit hard but not 1 shot hard & they couldn't roll with certain combinations, took 5 minutes to kill if killing them was actually rewarding.

However, that is still ignoring the elephant in the room. NOTHING is worth playing because nothing is rewarding!

I dropped $100 right on release if GGG wanted to be ethical they will wait 2 weeks till we fix bugs to release MTX

Today I learned what the archnemesis modifiers do.
Please do not revert anything. I like archnemsis and look forward to a greater mod pool in the future(poe2). Exponential scaling sucks but the rework and diverse challenges are a good refresh to gameplay. A game that is not dangerous is a game hardly worth playing. The old monster mods were generic and stale with extremely predictable gameplay. Archmenisi helps create more unusal fights.

There was consensus for years loot/drops needed to be improved. If it is undertuned and needs more work that is no reason to go backwards becasue there are problems. Get it reworked in time for poe2 instead of being stuck with a sub par system developed two decades ago. Its not like they can cry any harder at this point.

I play many games and it is almost always the same. An existing undercurrent of disatisfaction, often that has nothing to do with a particular game. Then it blows up and the malcontents latch onto even the most minor things and create drama. It is usually bullshit and usually has conseuences that far exceed the original problem. I do not think anyone really wants a game that is boxed in and doesnt risk trying new things. This is how games stagnate and die. This is what makes people go looking for new games, because games that play it too safe are boring and do not change enoguh to keep people interested.

PoE has exceeded my expectations 100 times. The game that it could be in the future is worth almost any level of tuning errors in the short term. People who cannto deal with that are idiots and I think probably lookikng for a reason to not play, maybe becasue they have been playing too much.

I just realized this whole league is REALLY meant to just introduce the no-loot/no-rewards change.
I had a theory that was the case, but now it clicked.

When you nerf player stuff you do it with a sledgehammer, when you nerf monster stuff you do it with a cotton ball. Did you not consider how the Archnemesis defensive layers stacked before you decided to implement/reimplement them this league? You have 2 leagues worth of data on this bullshit. Let's assume every player plays for a month each league, that's 2 months of data per player. That's a great deal of data you should have available to you. How is this still a problem. Are you not capable of intaking this data and putting it out in an appropriately scaled form? On top of internal data, there is plenty of external data and communications telling you and even videos displaying to you how and which Archnemesis modifiers are problematic. It's as if you've ignored everything and said "Eh, throw that shit against the wall again and see if it sticks." Also, I noticed you stopped plugging your loot boxes and MTX at the end of every communique... How come? I'll tell you my thoughts on Item Drops tomorrow GGG.

Good start team. Now go for their offence, it's wayyy to one/two shotty. I'm playing a league start with the most life I've ever had and rares are just busted. These defensive reductions need to be similarly applied to offensive stats.

Loot is a bit better, but idk yet.
Well, I haven't had any trouble with Any Archnemesis mods so far :/
Just want my loot though. Please give me at least some dopamine, there are no explosions anymore...
