Very high vram usage

This league it seems that after a certain amount of play time (around 30 mins - 1 hour) the client uses up all of my vram and I have to restart it or it will create horrible low detail visual artifacts and eventually crash. I have a 1060 3gb, not great but I haven't had this problem before this league (which has been amazing btw). Any information or help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Actually tried disabling engine multithreading and it seems to fix the problem, although I run at < half the normal fps than usual.
Every league they update quality of number of assets including textures of zones e.t.c. so the vram requirement goes up.

3Gb in this day and age is already quite low, since most games being run at 1080p can chew up to way north of 3Gb.

If not this league, then a league after this one or so, you will start crashing with out of memory error.

P.S. Disabling multithreading is futile, it does what it says, i am surprised it cut your fps only by half, some people on past generation Ryzen CPUs would see a drop of two thirds since ryzen lacks single core performance, but kicks ass in multi threaded tasks due to higher number of cores.
No rest for the wicked.

did you remember to set texture to medium ?
Yes texture is medium and all settings are as low as possible. The multithreading thing was just a fluke it seems, and when I switch to directx the vram just says n/a so I can't tell if it's getting chewed up.
