POE gears are stuck!

Simple.. I could play POE before this update. Latest update no help. Still freeze at launch.

Clear your client's cache

I think you misunderstand the issue:
1. It happens also after a clean reinstall (there is no cache/no config settings)
2. You cant access UI or any options menu, the game freezes after the GGG logo/gears and nothing is accessible only wind sound is playing
3. Packcheck also finds no issues (also because it happens after a clean reinstall aswell anyways)


Also noteworthy:
The game becomes unresponsible, only thing you can do is force shutdown the program.
For me it happens on my old Notebook (Intel HD 4000). The game ran ok before 3.14 but is not responding since then.

Everything I couldve thought of has been updated:
- Windows Updates
- Drivers
- Clean Windows reinstall
- Programs running in the background have been deinstalled
- Different settings used for PoE with same result (windowed/noaysnc etc.)
- Test out other games (which all run fine as before)
- Memory Stresstest with no issues
- It runs on a SSD not HDD

To me it appears as if the Shader Cache never finishes loading or gets stuck somewhere. Hopefully this helps to resolve the issue. :)

Thanks for the heads up, already read and tried it. Sadly didnt work.

This might sound weird but...try using older GPU drivers, about ~2 years old. I had somewhat similar issue with PoE and couple of other games, and this helped.

So, I finally was able to get into the game when I turned all the graphics WAY down. However, when I try to go through a portal it locks up on the loading screen again. Two weeks of this, when are they gonna fix?

I have exactly the same problem. Until Heist I was able to play from my laptop without any issue. Once updated to 3.14, I cannot play from my laptop anymore. I have tried fixing the files, reinstalling, deleting all files, but no luck. it gets stuck on the small gears in the initial loading screen. I cannot access any game options.

I have an Intel UHD 620 graphics card.

Any help will be appreciated. I can still play on my gaming PC, but cannot do it on the laptop. Like to play games when travelling :-)
