Botting and In-game spam

Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but is PoE going to have an Auction system similar to that of Diablo 3? How will it handle botters - will there be a warden? How will PoE deal with multiple game creation spam? (Bot runs) How many games can we host in a time frame? (Bot runs) How are you going to handle map hackers?

there hasnt been yet
good questions guys ^^
"And the timer said let there be light!"
"And there was light, The timer said Let there be thunder, And there was thunder"
"And the timer said LET THERE BE TORTURE STARVATION AND INSOMNIA, and there was all of these things struck down upon.... anyone who gazed upon its deathly figure.."
If you mean a Real Money Auction House then no, they're are not planning a feature like that. An auction house in general I'm not sure how they would go about it.

Not exactly sure what you mean by how many games you can host.
I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
I'm sure there will be some sort of method incorporated that'll prevent you from running two of the same game at the same time.
how many chucks does it take for a woodchuck to chuck wood? in terms of bots, how many bots do there need to be before they get noticed? maybe you won't be able to talk in global chat or whatever till like level 5? this map system looks different to the ones of D2 and therefore might be harder to crack.. but i guess there's always a cracker who can crack it.. and we're back to the woodchuck :p
i really dont wanna see this thread swept away into the swarm of other threads... legit questions require answers.
bump for justice, i've seen many games ruined by bots, some kind of xtrap , gameguard or integrated protection system is always welcome and gm support too. This is f2p so we will have to see how it will go

Xtrap and GameGuard are both ridiculously easy to bypass. Granted, the newer versions do take a bit more creativity to circumvent but its nothing close to impossible. Basically systems like that are only in place as a deterrent. They'll stop script kiddies but nobody else...

As for bots and hackers there is no way to stop them. The best you can do is try to keep them to a minimum. My advice? Encrypt your packets and make sure that there aren't even seemingly trivial things stored in the client (such as movement speeds - which is one a lot of games like to leave in for some reason). Software like Xtrap and GameGuard can also serve as a deterrent but don't expect much more than that from them.

(bah gotta run so I got cut short will try to remember to come finish later)

Edit -------------------------------
Sorry about that. Anyway, I lost my train of thought so I'll just say that, while I realize GGG is quite a small company, I sincerely hope security isn't something that's going to get tossed on the back-burner until OB or release, as that might do irreversible harm to the community.

About maphacks, i think games will be entirely hosted on their servers, unlike D2. That is the case with HoN, and in 2 years i've never heard of any serious report about a maphack. As far as i heard, someone would need direct access to the servers in order to get a maphack working.

As for bots, i really don't know. Seems very hard to prevent people from botting. In my opinion, the best way to deal with it is to issue permanent bans to anyone caught, without any warning. An idea i had a while back was also to find a way to detect specific bots, run it for a week or so, then ban all the people caught. If you just disable a kind of bot, people will find a new one and won'T get banned. If you detect them and ban them, at least it has some effect. Also the game being F2P could be harmful when it comes to botting, cause people can alway make new accounts, or use alt accounts to bot on.
