Turning animation
Animation greatly contributes to the enjoyment of any game.
The animation itself is fine but the lack of a certain type of animation is a problem, specifically turning and turning on the spot animation for creatures. The larger the creature is(all bosses and main bosses) the more noticeable the lack of such animation is and with quadruped creatures especially. Just this would greatly upgrade the visuals of the whole game. Example of a superb turning animation would be of a Dreadnaught in Dawn of War 2. Now imagine how bad it would look if such animation didn't exist... P.S. The graphics of this game is really sharp, especially in caves, much better than any other ARPG I can think off. I was right when I said it looked better than Diablo 3, now only animations remain. Visuals=graphics+animation Last edited by metamag on Aug 15, 2011, 10:15:36 PM

As far as the player goes, I would like to see them take the unrealistic and more tight feeling of being able to do a 180 without actually making the whole animation. Right now, movement is pretty good, but feels a bit clunkier, more like Titan Quest, rather than tight and precise, as Diablo and Torchlight is.
As for the monsters, I had not noticed. Last edited by NaveedLife on Aug 15, 2011, 11:34:11 PM

On the GGG website, it does say they are looking for a animator.

Turning animations like that increases the complexity quite a lot unfortunately. It is possible to do, but won't be anything we are able to do any time soon on our strict schedule and limited budget. Hopefully one day this can be added if people end up buying a lot of custom animations and other perks!

I truly hope they do put money in. I'd love to see what GGG can do without limitations. There's so much potential in the beta.
