One shotting at choke points can be dealt with by minions, lots of minions.
Not the only way, but it's A way. Skeletons are very good for this, as they are not tethered to you, so you can cast the skels as the doors open, move WAY back, then let the skels clear things, resummoning from a distance as needed. I have a guide, for spectre-zombies, but there is a section to use skeletons instead of zombies, which I think might be better for choke points.
