Encampments aren't large enough
everything feels clustered but I think there should be a little more room and a few more survivors, there are what 5 in the first area and 3 in the forest encampment? Remember D2 where you had a Gambler, a Caravan guy, a blacksmith, a loremaster (when you rescued him), a potion and scroll sales person, a rogue mercenary hireling vendor, and a couple random non-essential NPCs? There are 6 NPCs that matter in the first act and chickens, not only that but the size of the Rogue Encampment in Diablo II was large enough for 8 people to freely move about, the Shore Encampment pales in comparison to the size of the Rogue Encampment (thus making it hard to see everyone in the encampment because they are all so close together and the color pallet makes everyone look great but very hard to differentiate).
I love virtual brutality so save it for the Mobs...
