Help me understand this

So I check poe.ninja under builds and sort from highest to lowest energy shield. There is a guy with 944k ES somehow.

I check his items and he has THE IVORY TOWER SAINT'S HAUBERK which has the special ability "+30 to maximum energy shield per 100 reserved life". Then I check his gems and he has multiple level 1 aura gems combined with Blood Magic Support gem.

So I'm thinking in theory, the reserve 50% mana becomes reserve 50% life, multiplied by the 245% mana multiplier which gives him 122.5% per gem times 17 level one gems, plus another two 50%s from the two rings, gives a total of 2182.5% reserved life, and all that reserved life converted to energy shield at a 30 to 100 ratio.

Okay so what I can't understand is:

A) how do you stack more than one of the same aura, for example, wrath + wrath + wrath....?

B) how do you reserve more than 100% life? I thought you can only reserve 99%. Any more than that and you're dead.

Help me figure this out, it's driving me crazy.

I’m a bit confused as well. You cannot stack multiples of the same aura, but I honestly don’t know if you can reserve multiples. His auras are all linked with Blood Magic, but he takes the keystone Blood Magic. I cannot see how he survives chaos damage. Even as a 100% pure aurabot he isn’t very effective with all L1 auras.

I don’t see any purpose to his setup other than being a meme character to try and stack as much ES as possible.

Even if he reserves 9700 life, that’s only 2910 flat ES. I cannot figure how how anything he has could eventually scale to those numbers, but I haven’t tried plugging him into PoB. Also, what is up with Soul Ripper? He doesn’t have a single Vaal skill.

I actually wonder if something is bugged. 2 Essence Worm + Blood Magic Support + 50% aura skill shouldn’t be possible to reserve anything to begin with.

I mean tbh looking at it it's more likely that they just rerolled the character after hitting the ladder high enough to show up on poe.ninja. Idk how poe.ninja looks at and deduces character based on the api. If the person rerolled after hitting the ladder and just equipped those items and gems knowing that when poe.ninja calculated the build info through PoB it would result in the amount of es it shows. Most likely none of the aura's are reserved as it was meant just to show the big ES amount on poe.ninja
To me that looks like some sort of mistake. The setup makes NO sense (other than for leveling aura gems) and the reservation costs aren't reduced either. Weird stuff. Probably just buggy shenanigans.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.
POENINJA count's the reserved mana/life from all auras you have, it doesn't consider the 100% maximum you would have ingame, that's how they get those absurd values. The site is just buggy.
