Tailwind and Storm Brand

Does the increased action speed from Tailwind buff only affects the initial cast of Storm Brand and not individual ticks?

Bumping this because I'd like to know for sure as well. Initial testing shows tailwind does not affect tooltip activation frequency.

Also wording on Storm Brand skill gem "Increases and Reductions to Cast Speed also apply to this Skill's Activation frequency" would suggest it doesn't work, because tailwind increases action speed rather than cast speed. It's probably similar interaction to more cast speed from spell echo, which because of wording, does not work.

Well, tailwind grants increased action speed wich is a collective terms for movement, attack, and cast speed.

Spell Echo's more multiplier does not work.

Action speed modifies the speed at which your character performs actions. So it will let you get the brand cast faster, but it does not modify activation frequency.

TLDR: action speed does not increase DPS of brand skills.
