FtP modell, vote for feature.

So far I like everything I saw, my only concern is the free to play model.

The best I know so far:
Team fortress 2
Hats. There isn't much to say.

Two of the worst:
Aion
Not long ago I just tried 'limited trial' on some PtP mmorpg with less limitation.

Spiral Knights
Like a facebook game, run out of energy wait until tomorrow to play.

So my opinion, and feeling is, that the harder you force players to pay, more annoyed they will become. Sure, if someone have money to spend, he wont think much about it.
But I do, I spend money on games I like, EVEN if they don't force me to do it.
I understand developers need money, hopefully many do. And letting me to decide, when, and how much I pay is a big plus.

So to get to the point:
Add a pay to vote feature where players can 'speed' up the upcoming content. Without actually buying anything.

Because so far when I bought stuff in a FtP game I did it to support it, not because I needed that item.

So would YOU spend money simply to support the game and an upcoming feature?

From what I have read in the past, the devs (though I do not completely speak on their behalf) are wanting to do only cosmetic items for purchase. Basically so you gain no advantage over another player if you have the money to spend.

skins, and you pay for private leagues
Pay for votes to add priority to features/content... Interesting idea.

Yes I did read that. Still things can change, depending how much income they get.

Question is. Would you pay to vote on upcoming features?
Control which one should be implemented first? Do you think its a good idea, worthy to consider? Give it a trial run?

Personally I don't agree with the idea of paying to vote. I guess my reasoning is that since the game is a F2P game I would imagine you would want all of your constituents to be able to vote on features for the game that they want to play.

I think if this was a pay to play it would make sense to have people who are going to be paying anyway to vote on features.

Just my thoughts. I welcome discussions.

well i have a suggestion

In guildwars 2 they have a currency called Karma/gems

What it is it?

its a cash shop Currency that you can buy and sell in game your able to trade to players ect

what this does it enable players that are tight on money to be able to accesses the Cash shop and for casual people to get access to cash shop to

Its also a drop in guildwars 2 were monsters have chance to drop this currency so it has real world value and in game value

this also will stop people from buying in game currency from outside sources due to fact that you can just buy currency karma in the cash shop

this also got to depend on value of the currency and drop chance it is like a token in world of warcraft

What this can do is not really give you advantage over other players to be able accesses cash shop armors and skins
the cash shop armors should not be over powered or anything you cannot get in game it should be scaled to character level and should also be of value but nothing in terms of overpowerdness or advantage over someone who does not have money to buy currency

But it also depends if PoE is gear depended game or skill depended game

Guildwars 2 is not gear depended all max level gear will be same but skin/visuals of the armor is value of what its worth

Example:
Player wants EXP scroll or potion
Player farms for currency and does not get a Gem/Karma token
Player Manage get scrolls ect to trade to a player for Gems
Player trades the causal gamer for his Scrolls or w.e currency PoE has for some gems or just 1 gem
Player buys Exp boost scroll

So what happens is causal people who work and have family but little time to play are able access some type of gear but nothing overpowered or any better then you can get in game part from visuals of course

its called supply and demand if there demand for gems is high and a visual skin is wanted from this then people will farm to get a skin or w.e the want from cash shop BUT CASH SHOP SHOULD NOT FORCE YOU TO BUY THING IN ORDER TO OBTAIN EQUAL GEAR AND CONTENT OR HINDER THE PLAYER IN ANYWAY
