Vendor recipe for 5 mirrored elder items

Today i sold 5 mirrored elder marble amulets and only received a non-elder aka regular marble amulet back.

Other vendor recipes can result in shaper/elder items, so i am lead to believe that this isn't working as intended.

I'd appreciate confimation wether this is working as intended or simply a bug.

They changed the 5 for 1 recipe keeping elder/shaper at the start of incursion

edit: "The 5-for-1 magic or rare vendor recipe no longer maintains Shaper/Elder item status." from item balance section in https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2150237
