Items on ground getting hidden

This all started about an hour ago.

When items are dropped they pop up the tag like normal, but after a second or two that tag gets hidden and in order to see it you have to hold the ALT key. This is the same as if you are using a loot filter and holding the ALT key shows you the items being hidden. My issue is that the items that my current loot filter is showing are being hidden after a few seconds and the items that are being filtered out are completely un-viewable.

Did I do something to cause this? If so how do I undo it?

Is there anything that might be causing this?

This all started shortly after I had installed Auto Hot Key (AHK) and PoETrade macro.


I have uninstalled AHK and PoEtrade macro, neither of which has resolved the issue.

I have already tried using a different loot filter and using no loot filter. I even went as far as removing all of the loot filter files from the PoE folder.

I have tried restarting PoE and my computer. I'm contemplating uninstalling and reinstalling PoE next to see if that does anything.

If anyone knows what I did and/or how to fix/reverse whatever is going on I would greatly appreciate the help.

No I have not. Where would I find this button?

Not sure if it is the button you were talking about, but the "Always Highlight" button in the UI menu appears to have gotten unchecked since checking it appears to have fixed my issue.

This just happened to me as well and I remembering it happening a year ago too. I never change anything in the menu other than sound and this button get's unchecked somehow.

you can assign a key to hide/unhide your loot.

many people assign that functionality to a mouse button cause hiding/unhiding loot is re-sorting the labels of items relative to the item's position.

I know exactly what you are talking about, and I do not know what is causing it to be like this.
My experience with this issue though is that it typically occurs when you are having a pretty much or straight out FULL inventory, and when all the items that is lying on the ground and NONE of them is gonna fit into your Inventory, then ALL items on ground is getting "hidden". So therefore your Inventory needs to be emptied in the Town and then you can go back and you will be able to see all the items lying on the ground.

Sometimes it is like this, and yes. It does cause a bit of a headache.

Try pressing "Z". That's the default loot show/hide key. Should fix your problem. :)
