The Bestiary League launches alongside Content Update 3.2.0 very soon! We're very eager to see what you think of the new content and what compelling builds you'll be creating with the new gems and Ascendancy Class revamps. While you wait, this news post contains the information you'll need to know about what happens on launch day and information on how to start downloading early.

The above times are displayed in your local time zone. You'll need to be logged into your account to see these. To change your local time, go to "My Account", "Manage Account" and "Edit Preferences".

If the timezone is displaying incorrectly for you, please disregard the above timer and refer to the countdown on the front page. Three hours before the end of the countdown, the realm will go down and patching will begin. When the countdown ends, the servers will be live and you'll be able to join the Bestiary league!

The patch size for the update will be around 3GB. We've also made a torrent available for this update. Please keep in mind that this method, while available earlier, makes it a larger update as it includes all the existing client content. When patching begins for Content Update 3.2.0 you'll also have a few remaining files that you'll need to update to.

You can find the torrent here. The download is approximately 8.8GB. This torrent only includes the GGPK file, so you'll need to copy it into your actual install folder once the patching server is up, no earlier than three hours before the Bestiary League launches. Please note that you can't use this GGPK file with the Steam client.

Speaking of which, we wanted to clarify that in the first week of the league, Beast Trading between players is disabled. We want to make sure that when we launch it, it's properly supported on the community trade sites and has received all the testing it needs. This week of not being able to trade Beasts also helps prevent people who are uncertain of relative Beast values from being taken advantage of in trade, while relative Beast values are being assessed by the community.

A common question from players is how capturing Beasts works in a party. Once the Beast has a net on it, other people can throw their nets onto it too while it's stunned (though they have to be quick and get them in before the capture completes). If the first net succeeds, then everyone who successfully got a net onto the monster will receive a copy of it. Note that the maximum number of players this can go to is controlled by who was in the area when you encountered the monster, so you can't find a very rare one and then decide to invite five people to grab copies also after the fact.
