Self-freeze? How do?

I'm having a bit of trouble figuring this one out... How can I guarantee that I will take cold damage to be frozen constantly? Best if I could do it to myself, not rely on monster hits.
I've looked through the wiki and can't find anything to take phys as cold besides taste of hate, which, no, that's not a permanent effect. The other option would be to take kaltensoul and eye of innocence but then I would only be chilled and would lose out on winterheart regen bonus. :( It's so easy to shock or ignite yourself, but I can't think of a good way to freeze myself. Shaper chests and Watcher's Eye can have phys taken as cold. Then you need Auxium to make your freeze threshold tiny and Reckless Defence to give the hits freeze chance.

Figured out the auxium as an option, thanks for the other tips.
This would still require being hit by enemies and specifically phys based enemies. I'll look into the shaper chests, see what they offer. Reflect can't crit, can it? Hiltless would be the best way to hit myself with cold constantly. Hmmmmm. |

Reflect cannot Crit, no. Reckless Defence only works for enemies Hitting you.
You can reflect Frostbite onto yourself with Shackles of the Wretched to gain Chance to be Frozen. :P That's the most reliable method, probably, but you'll have to take pretty decent chunks of Damage to make it work at all. Last edited by Vipermagi#0984 on Feb 11, 2018, 6:12:09 AM

I knew about it, but got turned off by the 3 seconds of not being frozen.
Though if you can put temp chains on yourself as well to guarantee you'll be frozen for more than three seconds maybe could work? Hrm... Tempting with the corrupted jewel giving more damage per curse. With chaos innoculate I wouldn't lose my belt to a unique and could more easily reach the max freeze duration. Thoughts? |

yup, that's the basic build you can come up with easily, but I don't want to rely on reckless defense for it to work. In the video of his shaper fight he rarely has the frozen effect on. it might as well be a regular build for most of it with random spurts of regen when hit.
That's what I want to avoid. If you're vs a caster you'll never have the effect go off. |
