Low GPU usage on 1080 [SOLVED]

GPU is used only from 15-40% with 50-120fps, can drop in fights to 40fps. Playing on max details 1920x180.

How to make GPU work on max? Any experience?

ps: on 970 I had 100-160fps most of time with usually 100% gpu usage..

After in Power Savings turned of PCI its cca 50% GPU usage, CPU cca 45% usage and fps go from 70 - 220.

How to make it work on max all time?

After lowering graphics to minimum fps are cca same only GPU usage get lower to 20%. HDD not blink much and ping seems rather stable line.

Predictive, no HDD blink, fullscreen. On windowed fullscreen its 65 fps, 20% usage.

Could you tell us about the rest of your computer? Especially your CPU. If performance isn’t great and your GPU isn’t being utilized effectively I’d assume there’s a bottleneck of some kind.

If Vertical Sync / Dynamic Resolution are being used could you disable them for the sake of testing?

Games

3. In Counter Strike if reduced all to minimum to 1280 x 720 minimum fps is 148 fps. If I change resolution to 1920x1080 minimum FPS is 111. After all max settings there was 101 minimum fps.

4. Path of Exile - in tested areas 110 fps, if change to lowest graphics 130 fps. Change of resolution has no impact on fps. CPU usage always 3.5 GHz - seems game can not kick CPU boost. Minimum fps is 30 - same was with 970.

5. Witcher 3 - In this game GPU can load to 100% with all max settings with 80 fps in testing location - lowering graphics hits 106 fps. Change of reolution to 1024x768 gives only 5fps boost. In Novigrad while playing minimum is 60fps - 80 and more is fairly normal (on youtube with 8700k is 110 and more most of time). CPU boost is on more often.

6. League of Legends - On max settings minimum fps goes to 115, with minimum settings I get 20fps boost. Changing resolution to 1024x768 has cca 8 fps boost. With 970 minimum fps didnt go below 144 fps.

7. Skyim with ENB - much better overall, where 970 had 30 fps, now I have 45. 60 fps is pretty stable. Thats great.


Conclusion regards 970 card and presented PC

1080 generate lower min and max fps than 970 on mentioned PC. Nevertheless average fps is better in whatever graphic options are chosen on 1080, while on 970 details has to be lowered. Since I like to play games on 3D vision and compete games, minimum fps are more important than graphic technologies optimilization and there 1080 is not working well (in mentioned PC).

Regards what I saw on youtube minimum fps will be much better on League of Legends or Counter Strike. In Path of Exile it will still suck.

Regards 3D vision for example in Alien Isolation there I met 2 places so far, where minimum fps hit was visible while 970 has no problem with it.

Curiosity is, that after fresh install of Win 7 max fps was higher by 15 fps - 165 fps. After installing all updates it went to 150 fps. Do not know how much that affect minimum fps.

Now I am checking what mobo, cpu and memory to buy.
