BSoD with Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium

The sound works fine on this comp before I start PoE, but soon as I start PoE all my sound is disabled, when I bring up windows sound settings to change sound from sound card to Monitor, or change any setting with the game Alt Tabbed from full or try to play anything that requires sound while the game is running it Blue Screens every time.

Now I can get sound from my GTX 470, if I change the options to play through my Asus Monitor before I start the game and that works fine, but No Sound what so ever with this sound card and PoE.

Anyone else have the Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium PCI E card and get sound with PoE?

I have the same card but I have sound in game and have not had to change any settings, I have had one BSOD in game but no issue since.
Can you explain your bluescreen error message with more details?

I have this soundcard, too...and massive BSoDs...(especially (but not only) when I start some other sound using applications like Winamp, Skype, Steam, msn....while playing).

A problem was mentioned already in this thread:

http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/13861/page/1/#p272194

This problem still occurs...and i got killed many many times while having BSoDs during Maelstroem play...It's really starting to annoy me, because I really love this game, but falling back 15% of the experience each time just because of BSoD is really frustrating at high level...

I really hope that the Devs figure it out why the game has those problems with the Soundblaster...

Ill try to see what the blue screen error is next time it happens, BSoDs only show up for about 10 secs before my computer reboots lol

i can run the game fine with no BSoD for hours, but as soon as i try to change sound options outside of the game while its running it BSoDs every time
I used to have an X-FI. Had all kinds of problems with it (buzzing, hissing, cracking, and BSODs) until I changed the slot it was in. I put it as far away from the gfx card and WiFi as possible. Still had issues with it but they were less severe.
We're aware of all the problems with some Creative cards, and we have plans to improve this - Until we do, all I can suggest is changing your default sound driver in the Sound options in Windows. In Win7, and possibly Vista, just search for "Change sound card settings"
