Crash on Entering Southern Forest

Having just defeated Merveil in Act 1, my PoE crashed on entering the Southern Forest (PathOfExile_x64.exe has stopped working).
I have logged back in and continue to crash every time I attempt to enter the Southern Forest - either via waypoint or even when I attempted to create a new Cavern of Anger instance and enter from a new Merveil's Lair. It seems I cannot progress my new Abyss character any further =( Last bumped on Dec 8, 2017, 9:07:17 PM

Update - it has progressed to a crash on most instance changes. Have recreated on other characters / different zones / different acts.

Having exact same problem. Game crashes and receive same error, about a 20-25% chance when joining new areas. Am playing in party with guild so I can confirm that the instance is not closing; nobody else in the group is having any of these issues.
Have tried switching to DX9 from DX11, same exact issues. Have also verified game cache integrity via Steam, but no improvement. |
