Does this also scale critical nodes? So if I was using a melee skill but only went into spell crit chance (for example) would my crit chance go up?

No, it is very literal. It makes the two specific modifiers "increased spell damage" and "reduced spell damage" also apply to attack damage. It does nothing else.

So, spell crit doesn't help melee crit.

Does melee physical on full damage work with CI?

One last question. Would incandescent heart chest be a good choice for elemental mitigation if you are going CI? Or should I just look for a rare chest with higher ES. I'm wanting to go melee CI.

It's not worth the huge loss of ES compared to a rare chest, unfortunately.

It's a fun chest to use, I've been enjoying it with my CI flameblaster, you essentially loose 1.5-2k ES for +6% max elemental resists against hits (assuming you are capped at 75%). It also gets better in -max maps and such.

If you can get at least 9k ES with Incandescent Heart on (by using a good ES shield most likely), I'd say give it a try, it probably costs peanuts anyway, so you won't loose much. It also has a pretty high life leech mod for phys attacks, which might be useful for a melee with Ghost Reaver.

If everything else fails, the 3D art is still great and makes for a very nice skin transfer.
