Add 'last online' to friends list.

Since the friend list is limited and not so huge, Id say adding a notification to when somebody was last online would help sorting it out.

They just added that in 2.4.0 :-D
I have only used it once... I think it's hovering over the little icon thing in front of a name. Exit, pursued by a Plummeting Ursa.

Im hovering over people nicks in-game, can only see the name Ive added them as (and only in some cases, since that was only added some time ago), cant see anything about 'last online'.
